Thanks for writing. This is just to let you know that I received your letter:-)

This response means that the person is not interested ... but he/she had the courtesy to respond and let u know he/she wasn't interested.... rather than leave you hanging, not knowing what he/she thinks of you.

Why should we be offended that someone is not intersted in us?  Huh?  I appreciate the time the person took to let me know their interest/non-interest.  I just wish they would go a step further and say why they are not interested.  A few of them do ... and here are some of the 'not-interested' reasons that they usually don't say: too far away, too old, too young, not attractive, not enough money, etc.

Thanks for your responses---I was probably feeling alittle more vulnerable than usual and I thought the person who gave me that answer would be fun to know as a friend if nothing else but he may just have that one goal in mind ---Finding the ONE and I guess that's ok.

I am very thankful for the ones who do hang out with me online  [thumbup]   Thanks Bros.
You are a blessing.

Generally, I do not use them, as I prefer to be personal with every person who contacts me. However, if I am pressed for time, or really am not interested, but want to acknowledge the person, I will use them, albeit very infrequently.

It's interesting how this post affected me in the way that changed my attitude.
Just recently I received a three days offer (free) from Christian Cafe, and logged in to see.
Found some messages in my inbox, and since I wasn't interested, I thought I should send a canned answer and get done.
But this post and the discussion we had here came to my mind right away.
How would they feel if I just sent a canned answer? How would that make me feel?
I thought: Even though I am not intersted on those guys, they are waiting for an answer, and why not give an answer that would bless them and and make their day.
And so I did.And I am happy that I obeyed the Spirit.I felt good.
What we share here it really helps us learn how people think, what they expect form us etc.
It helps us learn to speak words of life into others and not pass people by as if they were nothing.
I thank you God that You are working in me, and maturing me everyday.
And I thank You also for my brothers and sisters, who share their concern on different matters, and that helps us learn how to say the right thing at the right time.

That is cool sister... I'm glad you did that. I like to think  it made a difference....
