it may be worth the 4 hr drive.  *sigh* i wish at times when booking events etc., that those who do so would realize that there is life north of barrie (and the tree line doesn't start there either *grin*).

I am originally from New Liskeard (Now Temiskaming Shores) I remember saying the same thing as a kid when I would have to drive to Toronto to see a concert

I love North Bay. I may end up moving back there in the next year. My daughter is in University there.

I lived there in the 80's as a not so saved 20 some year old. In the 90's I was there during my divorce proceedings. I attended a Vineyard church and a Pentecostal Church.

Love the waterfront it is beautiful

the waterfront is even more beautiful now and there is a path that just opened that connects it to the downtown area.  i was here in the 80's too, and the 70's and for a weeee bit of the 60's (I grew up here).  90's I was in Ottawa (University of Ottawa).  I've lived in many different places but now that I have my wee girl I wanted to be close to my family and although I could hardly wait to get out of here when I was graduating high school now I appreciate it and enjoy it here.  It is a good place to raise a child.

I've been to North Bay a few times. Very nice place. The air is so fresh up there and the pace of life is much more relaxed than where I live.

A good friend of mine , Jeff Serran, is on the BIA. I keep in touch with what is going on vicariously thru him. I miss New Liskeard but that is too slow. North Bay is about the right pace for me. I have many friends there, many have moved but some in Sturgeon Falls and it is closer to family

which pentecostal church did you go to in north bay?  late 80's I went to calvary.

i am praying that when i graduate i can get a job in north bay.  i don't want the "big city" experience anymore.  lol, when i lived in brantford part of the reason i liked it was that it reminded my of north bay.  it was also a very nice change from hamilton.  i moved back to north bay from having lived in calgary for a year.  i missed trees and water the whole time i was in calgary!

I used to attend Faith Chapel but did attend Calvary for a time. I live don the west coast for 6 years but am now in Toronto. Hope to be back to small City living soon. I have many friends in North Bay and it is the Gateway to the North after all (or to the south depending which way you are facing)
