Hmmm I woke up to rain today so I thought it would be cold and so not going on a Harley ride was no big deal.....but alas my friends.....the temp rose to 77, the sun came out, the autumn tress colorfully blowing in the breeze.... and I was stuck at home. I really need to join a Harley gang! LOL! I have the leathers and no bike and no biker friends.......oh poor me!  [makingeyes]

Yeah J gurl, join a m/c gang and get a big tatoo across the front of your neck that says RedNeck .   That would really impress the guys.  LoL

Hey gurl why don't you find the # to the local CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) and I'm sure some of them would be willing to give you a ride on their next outing.  My local chapter sends me email seems like every day with outings, prayer requests, meetings.  It's a mixture of guys and gals.  Check it out sis.  Just google CMA and make a few calls. :-)

I need a new chain so I did not ride today and I didn't go to the Voodoo fest (75/150 bucks a ticket and I could not find a detaled schedule) so ....  Huh?  Undecided  whatever.  Tomorrom's Sunday! :-)

Doggone it I can't find my music ... so how am I gonna practice for tomorrow.  I'm just gonna try ta show up early and practice the music then ... and skip Sunday School.  Well I'll make a showing .. yeah I'll go in the classroom just long enough to be seen and get a cup of coffee.... that and my Monster energy drink oughta wake me up on a Sunday morning.  I might have to go in the church'es mens room and slap myself a few times to wake up and get the blood flowing.  LoL   Then I'll go in the sanctuary and fire up the guitar amplifiers and practice Sunday's songs with my new guitar.  The music minister will probably join me.  I'll probably be wearing mostly black with my black cowboy hat on and dark sunglasses while warming up.  They make me take the hat off when church starts.  Undecided  I'll try to get cutie Catherine to play keys on my Korg with me while we do prelude music... if she's back from Cancun (lucky stiff, lol).

Right now, I am absolutely the HAPPIEST I have ever been in my entire life. Regardless of lifes changes, transitions, uncertainties, closings, openings, new beginnings. The only demand on my life now is "Daddy whats YOUR desire?" What freedom! What JOY!

Well, JLB, cozy up in warm clothes and watch football!  I know I know - you are not into THAT (as you wrote weeks ago, ewwwww).

We Packer fans who also love Brett Favre are anticipating the 1:15 PM Pacific time game.  Probably the biggest headliner for today in sports.  I see he just went into the Lambeau field and there were boos.  We were hoping that would not happen, at least not heavily.  I also saw clapping.  Afterall, he did bring fame to GB for many years.  He should be appreciated for that.  Then, let the game begin!  May the best team win!

Sister J--- I can heartily echo your sentiments! Except that it's a bright crisp sunny fall day here... so beautiful...[pray]

Now here's a poem I'm posting for a new found friend I just met here today! [thumbup] Another kindred spirit-- Sea Dreamer, this is for you. This Blue Castle was  born not far from the ocean..  it was just down the sunset highway and straight on until morning!  Cheesy And wandering it's shores are fond childhood memories... another one of those things that's just in her blood. :-)

Twilight in Abegweit ( also known as Canadian Twilight.. by L.M.Montgomery..)

"A filmy western sky of smoky red,
Blossoming into stars above a sea
Of soft mysterious dim silver spread
Beyond the long gray dunes' serenity;
Where the salt grasses and sea poppies press
Together in a wild sweet loneliness.

Seven slim poplars on the windy hill
Talk some lost language of an elder day,
Taught by the green folk that inhabit still
The daisied field and secret friendly way --
Forever keeping in their solitudes
The magic ritual of our northern woods.

The darkness woos us like a perfumed flower
To reedy meadow pool and wise old trees,
To beds of spices in a garden bower,
And the spruce valley's dear austerities;
I know their lure of dusk, but ever more
I turn to the enchantment of the shore.

The idle ships dream-like at anchor ride,
Beside the pier where wavelets lap and croon;
One ghostly ship sails outward with the tide
That swells to meet the pale imperial moon,
O fading ship, between the dark and light,
I send my heart and hope with you tonight."

The opportunities I've been waiting for to start in my life are finally here...
I'm taking a step back to make sure my priorities are right and my focus is where it needs to be. I'm a little stressed but God will see me through; I am working at giving everything to Him.  I will continue to put my best foot forward which is all He needs to get me through the next nine months of working/school/etc :-)

You don't realize the phrases you use often in your life until you hear your child say it. lol
I desperately just wanted 10 minutes to myself today..I mentioned to my son that he hasn't watched TV in weeks.... He told me that he's grown out of TV. LOL  Sigh..lol I apparently use that phrase a little more than I thought..lol

Well if I remember correctly.....the originator said we could encourage or comment but please do not use it as a discussion thread. I don't remember what she said....possibly someone should ask her.....OF COURSE that was almost 400 replies ago.   [thinking] [wink]

BTW folks this comment is for  R A M O N E!

How is it that this thread has been viewed over 8000 times and yet only a few hundred leave their status? Don't they have a status in life? Statusees we may need to help them.....LOL!

Today My daughter and my good friend and I are going to old town Apex to have lunch and maybe shop a bit. It's the historic part of Apex.....yay....I love to do these kind of outings. I love historic little towns, especially when their old building are full of cute little shops. These are my favorite places to Christmas shop.

Sista' J Lo, I want to encourage you and comment on what you said, and I don't want to discuss ..... cuz I never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, never, ever, ever want to do that .... that is, to discuss sumpin' ...  [eyebrows] ... at least not on this thread sis (trying to be a good boy). :-)

Sis I hope you have a great time shopping and I don't want to call undue attention to you JLB but you mentioned the word shop 3 times which I think proves the notion that WOMEN LOVE TO SHOP!  LoL

Now excuse me while I go drive Miss Daisey to the dentist.   [eyebrows]

(I might need prayer for this task, lol.)

Laughing  [laugh]  I'm laughing at a picture my nephew sent to my phone. I thought I had seen just about everything in my 50 + years, but that's not so. Some restaurants out west have TV's in the restroom.   zowy

O my I just don't see the point in a TV being in the restroom at a restaurant or any restroom period..O well...what do I know...I'm from the sticks Cheesy

 [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Which reminds me I need to call home....
