It was thanks, AG! Different, but good. In it's own way... Praying for a safe trip for you..and for your family as they grieve the loss of a loved one... [pray]...and so glad you have good weather for it! The fog has rolled in here...and everything is just a shadow now.. zowy.. Smiley It's going to be an interesting day! I can feel it...

Went with two other friends to help another and I am thankful that God kept us safe because we were almost in a car accident.  I thought I was going to lose control of my car trying to miss another car.  I am very thankful we are safe and that we were able to help another friend.

It was cold here and it spit snow around through the air but that was it.

A bit tired today. Was up half the night.....seems Daddy God had some things He needed to hear from me. It sounds funny but I was playing a game on my laptop just before I was gonna turn off the lights to go to sleep.....and in the middle of the game I felt His presence. (I love how He is so free to interrupt whatever is going on.) I always have worship music playing in my room so I began to worship Him, and that lead into time of crying out to Him. Hmm I'm kinda feeling like this is not quite finished, He's coming back for more.

SOMETIMES HE IS THE ONLY ONE WITH THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION.        IN FACT, USUALLY HE IS!
Often times the greatest spiritual struggle is when no human can tell you what you need to know.

I hear you JLB. I've been through quite a bit of that lately..

I woke up in an amazing mood today. I had a good dream last night. Funny how a good dream can completely set our mood for the day vs a bad dream. My reptiles and amphibians are in a great mood today too! and so cute..:-) Yes, I love them very much.

Don't get my boy back for a few hours yet so I'm going to revamp the house...:-D I LOVE organizing. Cleaning...well..lol  not so much. lol

Wow..Sis J... you said it just the way it's been coming to me.. zowy [thinking] [thumbup] [pray] It does seem like when one no longer has anything else to lean on, that's when God finally has our attention and one will turn in the right direction...about face!  Grin . It does crack me up how He doesn't care what you're doing, either... when He wants you to look up... Roll Eyes..So...when we are most still...that's when we can best hear. I have a feeling you are probably right about Him coming back for more, too.... I didn't sleep last night either.... But...it's sunny this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though it's cold.... I ♥ it...*glowing* Cheesy

I don't think I've been here since April -- I missed y'all! But I am blessed to have a wonderful church family here and I guess I've been pretty busy with lots of things. I got a strange email in my spam box this morning that said it was sent through singlec.com so I came here to check on things. I don't know how the person emailed me, but I'm glad to do a little catching up with my family here.  [thumbup]

I woke up to a soft snowfall this morning. The ground and rooftops are blanketed in white, and the trees look like they are trimmed in frosty lace. I need to grab my camera and go outside. This is the first real snow I've been in since I was a child. (It doesn't snow much in Louisiana or Florida -- this winter in the mountains is going to be different for me!) Fortunately I made a nice big batch of hot chocolate yesterday and I can heat some up quickly. I better call the church though and tell them I might not be the best one to fill in for coffee in the morning -- not positive I can be there an hour early, LOL.

LOL now my kitty is licking my chin while I'm trying to type. She's a sweetie, and I am blessed in so many ways. I slept so well last night for the first time in about a week. I am not complaining though -- for the several nights before last night, I dreamed of my daughter. In the first dream, she was talking to me. She was talking as though we had a good relationship again, even though it was acknowledged in the dream that this past year has happened. That soothed my heart SO much. And by the end of the last dream, she actually allowed me to hug her and kiss her, though somehow she was younger again in that dream (I don't think she'd allow me to kiss her anymore, LOL ... have not kissed her in years, though she DID give me a hug -- wow, almost a year and a half ago -- sigh). I do miss her more than words can express, but I trust in God that He will bring forth the truth and restore our relationship.

I think ... I am going outside to play in the snow. Hopefully I will be back here a bit later.

 [thumbup] Nothing wrong with that. lol  However, I have to keep myself out of the stores at Christmas (I rarely shop unless I need something) - but at Christmas I always seem to see so many things I'd like for myself. LOL

Our local art gallery is having an art sale this afternoon plus there's a kids art event happening so we are going to go check that out..my son's only interest seems to be art as far as a class goes so that's what he's been in for while.

BC I hope you have a great time with your mom :-)

My son and I had a good evening last night with my parents and my sister's family. Up late though so we slept in today. Enjoying the morning together.

I know now why I don't often read the paper or watch the news. Sitting at the table having breakfast, I dug out the paper from a few days ago so I could cut out my ex's grandmother's obituary.  On the front page was a story of someone who dropped off 12 cats at the shelter. The shelter doesn't have room for them so they are headed to the pound..  Six cats were put down so they could take in the 12..   I had to hold back tears.  Then I read the obituaries and started tearing up again. 

Do we become desensitized when we watch the news and read the paper all the time? Do we still have a burden for the people we read about and their families?
