It is funny you mentioned forgetting what to pray for.  Just last night after choir practice the music minister took prayer requests and asked one of the choir to pray .. a university professor with a doctorate in economics I think .. and the professor began his prayer something like this:  Lord since I wasn't paying attention I don't know what the needs are, but you do ...  LoL!

Ok, my confession:  I lied. ... I said I wasn't smart.  LoL j/k  Seriously, I did lie.  I took Ms Daisy out for lunch.  After ordering the food, the waitress brought me a bowl of chicken noodle soup.  Ms Daisy said something about the soup while I was reading a book.  I said the soup was mine but she could have it.  She kept saying that she did not want it if it was mine so I finally just said that I did not want it (even though I was hungry like a big dog).  That Ms Daisy is sweet.  She is so selfless.  How did dad get so lucky?    Sisters, Plz 4give ur brudder for a lil lie.

Hey sistah Music, I remember what I wuz gonna tell ya.  I forgot to buy my brain pills and my memory pills .. so maybe that's why I didn't take them .. the pillz .. I dunno .. maybe.

Hey but I did write myself a note to get more memory pillz.  I just can't seem to find the note.  I can't remember where I put it.  LoL

Me thinks that I can relate to Ramone's choir member who has to ask God to take care of the requests he didn't listen to or forgot.  Sometimes my mind goes wandering off building condos in LaLa land.  I sometimes say the wrong thing.  I call my sister my daughter's name and vice versa.  I call projects at work by the wrong name and greet people using the wrong name.

Once read an article written by a lady discussing her parents.  She said while she was growing up they argued all of the time.  One would bring up past hurts and hold it against the other.  Now that they are older they get along great.  They are both going senile so can't remember past hurts.  They just help each other make it through the day.

Ramone, I can empathize with you.
I was lucky that none of that happened to Mom, dad was as good as he was going to get towards the end (memory loss was not one of his bad points) . we used to go visit a pair of older Dutch sisters where the elder was so forgetful and kept asking the same questions over and over, maybe about 5 minutes later. Her sister would get so frustrated and yell (yes, yell for hearing loss was a part of her sister's ailments) "You just asked that". Mom was so patient and would answer the same question again. The elder sister did follow the conversations for many times she would add to the conversation, knew our family history enough (in Holland her family was a close friend for our family)


may we all have the grace to ask God that the ailments of our parent (s) that we are struggling with now not be a part of our ailments as we get older and plague our own children (for those who have children now) or our friends who come visit us.

Ramone, you are a good and loving son - I can see that from what you have posted here (and from conversations).

Ms Daisy luvvvvvvvvs  french fries.  If someone (like me, lol) brings her a cup of coffee and french fries, that person might get a hug.  BTW I haven't got Ms Daisy trained to give me a hug and a kiss when I come in the door.  To get a hug and a kiss I basically gotta do the coffee and fries thing and then .... beg for my lil hug and kiss ... and even then it's usually just a hug.  I see why Paul told us to greet each other with a holy kiss .. cuz we forget to do it so much.   LoL
