LOL! I have never heard of any of these bands. Who are these peeps!
I do know of Rebecca St. James
The Violet Burning -- Christian. One of the best moody alt rock bands, ever.
Joy Williams -- Christian. Pop/rock with fairly deep lyrics. They play her occasionally on Air-1 (air1.com).
Virgin Black -- Christian. Gothic metal from Australia.
Seventh Day Slumber -- Christian. Grunge/alt rock. Their lyrics are real.
Adie Camp -- Christian. Pop/alt rock. Jeremy Camp's wife. Again, real lyrics here.
Caul -- Christian. The darkwave master. Odd, eerie, atmospheric works without lyrics.
Solitude Aeturnus -- Not a Christian band, although their bassist who wrote the lyrics was Christian (first three albums). Excellent doom metal.
The Birthday Massacre -- Not Christian, but interesting lyrics. Bombastic synth rock with guitars and either wry commentary or songs about off-center fairy tales.
Sirenia -- Gothic metal. Not Christian.
No Innocent Victim -- Christian. Godfathers of Christian metalcore.
Brooke Fraser -- Christian. Artsy pop/rock. "Shadowfeet" is probably her most well-known song.
Lifehouse -- Christian. Pretty good alt rock band that's had mainstream success. "Hanging By a Moment".
Loreena McKennit -- Christian? Artsy celtic atmospheric stuff. Some of her songs have positive references to Christianity.
The Moody Blues -- Christian? Influential art-rock pioneers. "Nights in White Satin", need I say more?
Plumb -- Christian. Industrial rock to happy alt rock. Her singing style strongly influenced Amy Lee (Evanescence).
Unashamed -- Christian. Some of the best metalcore I've ever heard.
Within Temptation -- Not Christian. Symphonic gothic metal that's not cheesy.
Vomitorial Corpulence (hahaha) -- Christian. Insane goregrind. They're evangelical, which is awesome, but sometimes their lyrics are a bit too much for me. In one song, they grunt, "Jesus is not b***s***!"
