In my interview today I was asked if I'd consider volunteering there.  Translation = nope, no internship for you.  I'd still volunteer there though.  It's a fantastic organization.  I'm just disappointed though since it's something I'd really have liked to do.  The woman who is the rec therapist there said she'd let me know tomorrow what's going on, but I pretty much know now I did not get the internship.  I just am unsure where else to apply though since my heart is pretty much with working with children who have special needs, or homeless kids.  There aren't any opportunities to work with homeless/street kids here as a recreation therapist.  The one opportunity I do have to work with street kids is in Oregon and I can't afford to bring my daughter and I there.  I'm going to be spending a lot of time in prayer on this.  The only other place I can apply to for an internship is the mental health center here or working in geriatrics neither of which really appeal to me ~ but I'll do what I have to since I am the sole financial support for my daughter and I.  Anyway, thank you for the prayers and if I come to mind to pray for still I would greatly appreciate that as well.
