Today would have been my Aunt's birthday, the only one of my three aunts that I have met. I wish she were here to see how much I have grown (both physically and spiritually). Most of how she has seen me grow have been in letters written by Mom and through pictures that were sent. my first 'introduction' to her was when I was 8, then she came to America for her first (of 2) trip when I was 12. Her last trip was a decade later (the following year God took her home), I had barely had a full grasp of the language to be able to communicate effectively during those times. In the years since God has raised my fluency to levels I would never have expected.
As a tribute to my Aunt I made a new blouse on Saturday to wear to church yesterday .... if only I had known what her favorite color was, I chose something with the color of her birthstone instead.
