I have struggled with se*ual sin since I first got saved, those of you who have read some of my postings, may remember me talking about this! And I have been se*ually pure and sober for 2years now! But I recently came close to falling in this way again!
I had been talking to a man from another "Christian" site and came close to letting this man come and see me! And make no mistake I was aware why he wanted to come see me and satan knows this is one of my weakest points! Part of the reason I want to find a Christian husband is that I want to close this door/window forever so that satan will leave me alone on this one! And I have trouble asking for help, because as I have stated before I'am a very strong woman and for some reason my old self believed that to ask for help is a sign of weakness! But when I realised what was going to happen, I got on my knee's and literally cried out to the Lord, I told Him that I realised that I had yet to win a battle with the enemy in this situation and that if He did not help me right away I knew I was going to lose this one to!  I spent most of the day crying and begging Him to help me overcome and He did. He also told me that I needed to be more humble and start asking for help! I have cut all ties and communication with the man! But I'am very frightened that I came so close and I know satan will try again, and I need your prayers so that I can close the door/window on this one, once and for all! I believe this is from a family or generational curse and do not know how to remove these! please pray for me!  Tess

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Each time you take a stand, you become stronger.  It is like exercising a spiritual muscle. Fasting and prayer is very important.  Also studying Scripture about the holiness of your own body, the temple of the Holy Spirit.

This is a difficult temptation, because it literally comes TO YOU through the men you meet. But you DO have the power of the LORD within you.  One of the fruits of the Spirit is self-control.  I congratulate you for your victory!

May confusion be in the enemy's camp! One of the effective ways used by the devil to maintain you captive in a sin is keeping you occulting that sin. For this reason and as you mention, it has been a great deal you to share the situation here and ask for help in this forum. Therefore, if you're completely resolute to get out of this, please consider looking for counseling and prayer in your local congregation. It does not mean confessing it to all the church or to the pastor, but you can find a very simple and genuine Christian, someone that you feel comfortable with, so you open up and this person prays with you. 1Jn 1:9

Fasting and being vigilant are to be permanent.

I am praying jesus please help her to be pure sexually. She has such a heart for you God. " Sexual sin is one of the reasons I believe christians should marry. I feel it is an area I want marriage and not just companioship and to do God's will but it allows us to have sex and not sin. I do feel for you. Joan

Tess I think that is also one of my main reasons for a husband. Other than evangelizing as a team leading people to jesus. No sex forever is a problem so marriage is a blessing for the married.
